What Makes a Sip

Each Sip sauna is made by hand in Bloomfield, Ontario, using local, sustainable wood sourced just down the road from our workshop. Because that’s how it’s always been done. And because that’s how we like to do it.

Every Sip is insulated to R-14 with Rockwool in the walls and ceiling, plus a sauna grade vapour barrier. Most saunas on the market aren’t insulated at all. That’s why a Sip heats up faster, stays hot longer and keeps the steam inside.

Details
Watch your head! Lower door heights create a “hot pocket” that ensures heat and steam stays inside as you enter and exit.

Insulated with Rockwool insulation and sauna grade vapour barrier for faster heat up times and legendary heat and steam retention.

Includes heat-source specific ventilation to optimize air-flow.

Durability
We use a corrugated steel/flashing roof assembly with a water-proof membrane underneath for the most weatherproof roof possible.

Extremely durable 10mm treated tempered glass avoids seal failures due to temperature fluctuations and can withstand whatever wind and weather is thrown at it.

Woodwork
Sip saunas are hand-built using Ontario-grown woods such as pine, cedar, and spruce. Our choice is to use local sustainable wood species, but clients are welcome to suggest customizations based on their preferences.

All saunas are assembled without the use of toxic wood glues or finishes for a pure chemical-free experience.
