Sauna guidelines

Monitor how you feel. We are happy you have joined us for a sweat. You are going to feel amazing. The key is listening to your body. If you start feeling lightheaded, too drained, or just too hot, step out and take a break.

It is common to start on the lowest bench and move upward as you become more heat acclimated. You can always change positions based on how you feel.

Stay hydrated.

Sauna etiquette

The sauna is meant for relaxing, and for getting away from the stress of the day. These keep it pleasant for you and for everyone around you.

  • Be free of scented creams, oils and other products before entering. Have a nice warm shower first.
  • Remove jewelry, eyeglasses and any metal accessories before entering.
  • Sit on a towel at all times.
  • Do not pour excessive water on the stove, it will cool the stones. One scoop at a time. One to three scoops every fifteen minutes is a good guideline.
  • Do not pour water onto yourself or onto the floor and benches. If you feel too hot, take a break and step out to cool down.
  • No cell phones inside the sauna.
  • Respect the privacy of the people around you.
Cold plunge etiquette
  • Rinse off in the shower before every dip. Soap is provided so you can rinse off any scented creams, lotions or fragrance first.
  • Keep the hose on and the tanks filling constantly. That is what keeps the water fresh for the next person.
  • If you need help or have a question about the plunges, ask a Sip team member.

We prioritise cleanliness above all else. Shared plunge water and the sweating process mean it only works if everybody rinses first and leaves the hose running.
